Basic Skills for Medical Writers

Although scientific knowledge and experience with the pharmaceutical industry are important for medical writing, the basis still remains a strong foundation of writing and communication skills. This workshop is designed to help new medical writers learn the basics and refresh the writing skills of more experienced writers. We will explore using style and consistency for more clear and concise writing, ways to improve reader comprehension and understanding, writing for a specific audience, and techniques in communicating medicine and pharmacology. The goal is to help participants develop their style for improved scientific communication.
